The musical, “Luciano for Me!” has been changed and adapted a lot over the past few years. It has been improved drastically, but to get to that point, productions of the musical were previewed around Kansas City at different schools and churches. Mindy is grateful to all of the actors, technicians and audience members who gave their time and critique to help this show be where it is today!

Unicorn Theatre: July 24-30, 2016

The latest and greatest version of the musical! It had been expanded, but then tightened to fit the strict window of 60 minutes at the KC Fringe Festival. Ava’s checklist becomes a major plot point, and we also have a new introduction to better get to know the girls in the first scene. This version is now available to license for your educational theatre group!

Park Hill High School: April 30, 2016

Almost a full year later, the show has been drastically rewritten with the help of Zach Faust. The song “She Loves Him” is added in for the first time and the order of the songs gets shuffled a bit. The very important change of Luciano taking the girls on “private tours” is now the focal point of the show and Ava’s character, becomes more complex, and Mia’s role continues to expand.

Journey Church: June 5 & 6, 2015

Critique was taken from the SMNW production, and a few months later this version was produced at Journey Church. The plot had been stretched a bit more, and the song “Secret Invitations” was added for the first time. The role of Mia upgraded in this show as well. Put together in just 5 days of rehearsal under the new title: “Luciano for Me!” after the signature song in the show.

Shawnee Mission Northwest High School Rep Theatre Class: April 29, 2015

The very first attempt at the show. Then called: “Luciano the Musical”. It was a class assignment for the Rep Theatre class at Mindy’s Alma Mater: Shawnee Mission Northwest. The production was put together in about 10-15 hours of rehearsal time, and the actors carried scripts. Basically a glorified staged reading.
